Online Hair Loss Treatment in Utah
Hair loss care for Utah men and women that checks for underlying causes first, then stays with you long enough to see what is working.
What it is
Pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) is the most common cause of thinning hair in both men and women. Two treatments have the strongest evidence: finasteride, an oral prescription for men that lowers the hormone DHT, and minoxidil, which is applied to the scalp and is sometimes prescribed as a low-dose tablet. Both work best when started early, and both need continued use to keep results.
Fortem Health offers hair loss care to adults located in Utah. Your provider reviews your history and labs on a live video visit, looks for causes such as low iron or thyroid problems, and decides whether a prescription is appropriate. If one is prescribed, a licensed pharmacy ships it to you.
Who it may be appropriate for
- Men and women with gradual thinning or a receding hairline
- People in the earlier stages of hair loss, when treatment tends to work best
- Adults 18 or older who are located in Utah
Who it is not for
- Sudden or patchy hair loss, scalp pain or scarring, which should be seen in person by a dermatologist
- Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, who must not take finasteride
- Anyone under 18

Read this before you begin
- Finasteride can cause sexual side effects such as lower libido or erectile difficulty in a small share of men, and mood changes have been reported. Tell your provider about any change.
- Finasteride lowers PSA test results. Tell any doctor who orders a PSA test that you take it.
- Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not take finasteride or handle crushed or broken tablets.
- Minoxidil often causes temporary extra shedding in the first weeks. Oral minoxidil for hair loss is an off-label use and can cause fluid retention, a faster heartbeat or unwanted hair growth.
- If you stop treatment, the hair you kept or regrew is usually lost over the following months.
This is not a complete list of side effects, warnings, or interactions. Your provider will review your full history before prescribing and will provide complete medication information with any prescription. If you experience a medical emergency, call 911.

Do you treat hair loss in women?
Yes. Fortem Health hair care is for men and women. Your provider reviews your labs and history and decides which options are appropriate for you.
Why do I need labs for hair loss?
Low iron, thyroid problems and hormone changes can all contribute to thinning hair. Labs help your provider find causes that medication alone would not fix. You can upload results from the last three months or we order them for you.
What happens if I stop treatment?
Hair that was kept or regrown with treatment is usually lost again over the following months. Talk with your provider before stopping.
